CALCOLOR CLASSES

EXPLORATION

Last week, we worked on Henri Matisse Masterpiece Study: Patterned Room Part 1. Everyone designed vibrant wallpapers with oil pastels inspired by Fauvism and exercised their creative freedom. This week we are going to continue with the project (Part 2) and add people, plates, windows and other interior pop-ups to their 3D wallpaper room.

FOUNDATION

Last week, we wrapped up the Storytelling with Spotlight project and the students finished adding colored pencil textures and details to the night animals inside the spotlight. We also finished coloring the background in the spotlight and adding details and vibrancy to the closets or windows on the black paper background. This week we will start the new project designing scarecrows!

ADVANCEMENT

Last week, we started on the Rene Magritte Surrealism project and designed different apples and pears cut into three parts inside an interior space. This week we will finish the interior designs with Surrealism and 3D details and start adding colors with the colored pencil.

Thank you so much,

for attending CalColor Academy, where each week we strive to learn something new, and see the world from many perspectives.
