Week 1: Creative Little Painter

Have you explored the many fun and creative ways of painting? Come and join us at CalColor this summer to become a little painting expert! Besides learning the basic knowledge of painting and color mixing, you will learn to use innovative and exciting ways of using paint and color to express yourself and tell your own stories. Week 2: Magical Mini Builder

Make your imagination come alive with hands-on and pre-found materials! Come and join our Magical Mini-Builder Camp and learn to transform ordinary and everyday materials into stunning artworks! You will be learning to use your hands to create and build a 3-D world! Join us today at CCA and start creating your own art pieces!

Week 3: Fantastical Animal Kingdom

Do you want to create your own zoo of fantastical creatures? Are you excited to learn about the animal kingdom? In this camp, you will explore the wonders of the animal world, look at all the mysterious creatures, and use them as inspiration to create your own fantastical animals, like characters in video games, movies, or books. Come and create your own zoo of fantastical creatures at CalColor!

  • Cultivate kid’s ability to creative problem-solving

Week 4: Multi Culture- Design Your Dragon

Multicultural studies foster in our children curiosity and appreciation for learning about diverse cultures around the globe. This summer, CCA’s signature Multicultural Camp will take students on a virtual tour to study the cultural and symbolic significance of Dragon in both the East and the West. Students will also use their imagination to create their own dragon with fun and unique features and powers! We will draw, paint, collage, and also design a magical castle for your dragon!  Come and join us for this educational and fun-filled Multicultural Camp!

Week 6: Let’s Travel: Adventure in the Australian Outback!

Join us for a virtual safari tour of Australia! We will learn about the animals exclusive to this continent as well as their habitat and natural landscape! As we observe the wildlife, the flora and fauna, we will learn to creatively express what we see with artistic language and a variety of art materials to create a memorial piece of artwork! Although we cannot physically travel to Australia now, we still can have an educational, creative, and fun-filled experience!

  • Art Genres: landscape, transportation, animals 
  • Observation Skills & Fine-motor skills

Week 7: Little Painter- Safari Animals

Do you love colors? Enjoy painting? Are you a fan of animals? Then this camp is perfect for you! Come and join your teacher on an adventure to explore the safari animals of Africa! We will learn interesting facts about these animals and their habitat, learn to appreciate and observe their various shapes, texture, colors, and most importantly you will learn to draw and paint them! Basic knowledge of the color wheel, color mixing, and basic painting technique will be taught. Join us today and create your next painting masterpiece!

Week 8: Giants Coming To Town- Character Transformation

What are some of your favorite cartoon characters? Or do you have a favorite toy or stuffed animal? Imagine iconic and kawaii characters like Hello Kitty, My Little Pony, Pikachu, Lego, etc, transformed into giants and come to visit your town! What will happen? How will the cityscape change? In this fun filled and creative camp, kids will use their imaginations and various art materials and techniques to transform the ordinary to extraordinary. Character and cityscape drawings, painting, as well as some hands-on-3D spatial elements will be taught.
